The first release of Bleasdale's Generations Shiraz was in 1997 using a parcel of fruit sourced from 85 year-old vines.
The wine marked a turning point for the vineyard, reinventing Bleasdale as a ‘new’, old wine producer.
The 2006 Generations Shiraz is one of the best to date and represents a worthy tribute to the innovative genius and stability of this very distinguished Australian wine family.
They are, in fact, Australia’s second oldest family wine company (est.1850), the oldest being Yalumba.
The wine is made by fifth generation winemaker, Michael Potts.
