THE WINE
The 2022 vintage was again superb for Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2022 ‘The Foil’ shows vibrancy and depth with elegant passionfruit and floral notes.
A long driving palate of intense fruit tapers cleanly to a crisp, finely balanced conclusion.
VITICULTURE
Batches of fruit are selected from two premium high altitude Adelaide Hills vineyards at Carey Gully and Piccadilly with each separately vinified.
Both vineyards are cane pruned and on VSP trellis.
WINEMAKING
The 2022 vintage was cool, but dry and sunny.
The two cool, high sites produced fruit of great clarity and depth.
It is racy and crisp overlayed with fresh passionfruit florals, creating a palate of intensity with precise balance.
