Shaw & Smith Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Shaw & Smith Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2017

James Halliday, Wine Companion - November 2017

This is a dignified sauvignon blanc that continuously reveals itself as you move from the bouquet through to the aftertaste of the palate. Initially it has classic restraint, but by the time you pick up the sweet fruit (not sugar) you realise it’s the product of a vintage designed for sauvignon blanc. 96 points.

Campbell Mattinson, winefront.com.au - October 2017

There’s little doubt this is one of the better releases of this ever-popular wine.

It bursts with fruit, it’s clean and pure, it’s not without elegance and/or restraint and yet it gives people what they want. Ripe tropical fruit cut with grapefruit, lime and lemongrass. Life-of-the-party and well-mannered at once. Charmingly uncluttered. A delicious Adelaide Hills sauvignon blanc if ever there was one.

From the Vine - Sunday Telegraph - October 2017

Widely hailed as Australia’s benchmark sauvignon blanc, with cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith finetuning its style to perfection over the wine’s 28 successive vintages from Adelaide Hills fruit. Fresh, aromatic and pure grapefruit characters are the essence of a truly inviting palate experience.

Toni Paterson - The Real Review - September 2017

A wine of charm, purity and class. Light and delicate fruit flavours of pear, star fruit and gentle passionfruit. Beautiful restraint and extremely well-made. One of Australia’s favourites for a reason.
