Estate-grown, destemmed and crushed, open-fermented, hand-plunged for 14 days, basket-pressed, matured in new French hogsheads for 14 months. The new oak has been absorbed into the fabric of the wine and is balanced. There is a trio of juicy black fruits, cedary oak and fine, ripe tannins all singing from the same medium to full-bodied page. Far removed from some of its tough regional peers.
