Chalk Hill Barbera 2020
Aroma: Highly perfumed, with lifted dark cherry fruit, floral notes and a hint of spice.
Palate: A medium bodied wine that is bright and fruit driven.
Dark cherry fruits and rose petals combine with layers of spice.
The acid is firm and provides a refreshing finish.
Winemaking Notes: First planted in 1998 at our Chalk Hill vineyard, the Barbera handled the warm and dry vintage beautifully.
The fruit was balanced and retained it's acidity and appears to be one of the best Barbera crops we have seen.
Ageing Potential: This wine drinks well young, but will be at its peak in 5-7 years.
