Pikes Los Companeros Shiraz Tempranillo 2019
Aroma: Attractive blueberry fruit with some choc-mint undertones as well as a little spice & earthiness that add some complexity. The oak is very much in the background.
Palate: Rich, ripe & approachable, the blueberry & chocolate flavours are nicely tempered by fine tannins & well balanced acidity.
Summary: A blend of 90% Shiraz & 10% Tempranillo. The richness & softness of the Shiraz is complimented by the rustic tannins of the Tempranillo. They make very good companions indeed. Try it now or over the next 3-5 years.
