The Georgia McLaren Vale Shiraz 2016
A terrific example of the modern styles of Shiraz coming out of the Vale. The Oak is restrained playing only a supporting role to the voracious fruit flavours. There is a bouquet of fermentation characters when first opened, typical of the style. But let it sit in the glass for a minute and you are rewarded with a symphony of dark fruits and a walk through a wet rain forest. With minimal Winemaking intervention this wine is lively fresh and full of intrigue.
