Pirramimma Ironstone Mclaren Vale Grenache 2014
50% matured in new French puncheons, 50% in used French and American oak, for 18 months. This has the structure that separates McLaren Vale grenache from all others in SA, giving this deliciously pliant wine an almost regal air. The use of so much new French oak was brave, but it's part of that regal DNA.
