Aramis Vineyards Feather in Cap Adelaide Cabernet Merlot 2013

Aramis Vineyards Feather in Cap Adelaide Cabernet Merlot 2013

In the days of the musketeers a feather was added to the cap to symbolise an enemy slain or a great victory in battle. These days the phrase has a far more peaceful interpretation and stands for an achievement worthy of recognition. This range is indeed a feather in our cap. We challenged ourselves to create a series of wines in the tradition of the rich, indulgent wines of South Australia, yet tailored to everyday enjoyment.

Sourced from premium vineyards around Adelaide’s Fleurieu Peninsula, our juicy, ripe reds are intended to act as a fitting tribute to the region, but most importantly to deliver simply great drinkability.

Cabernet and Merlot, a timeless combination – the perfect balance of structure and smoothness. This wine offers the dark berry fruit and complex earthy depth of classic Cabernet, lifted and rounded out by the juicy plummy flavours of the Merlot. The result – an enchanting blend of both savoury and smooth notes coming together to create a versatile wine to be enjoyed with or without food.

The Fruit:

Grapes are sourced from selected premium vineyards around Adelaide’s Fleurieu Peninsula, specifically McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. This combination of mediterranean and maritime climates allows us to marry power and richness with softness and elegance to deliver a style that is consistently appealing, no matter what challenges vintage may throw at us.
