Villa Loco, established in the 1860's is surrounded by rolling hills planted to grape vines long ago. It is situated just below the 34th parallel and enjoys a unique climate particularly suited to viticulture.
Light straw in colour. Fine whisps of passionfruit and green apples, gooseberry with currant, and traces of hazelnut. More gooseberry characters abound, the wine develops wily grapefruit, lime and stonefruit expressions. It closes to a vivid pineappley acidity, delightfully quenching and satisfying. "A tangy mouthful of fruit is preceded by some gorgeous fragrances, appleseed and rhubarb lead to a palate that's girded by some jazzy lemon and persimmon".
